Friends of the Georgia Archives Book Sale are having a huge booksale starting (for the general public) tomorrow at noon and running through 5pm saturday. There are several articles about this – Atlanta Journal Constitution and AccessNorthGA.com are just two examples (it’s an AP story, so it was picked up by most of the newspapers in the region).
This is the Georgia Archives’ first book sale involving rare and used books (don’t worry, they are donated from supporters). Proceeds go towards funding programs about Georgia’s history, and the digitizing of historical and genealogical records.
15,000 books – primarily history (local, state, national) and genealogy related. There is more information (contact, times, places, etc.), on booksalefinder.com.
