More Holiday Genealogy Gifts

In the Lebanon Daily News (PA), James M. Beidler writes of some alternative gifts for genealogists, and specifically mentions a Cafepress.com store that we’ve mentioned before: Jimmy Kavanagh’s Genealogy Gift Store.

Excerpt from the article:

Genealogists are sometimes (wrongly, of course!) accused of being a little stuffy and much too serious about their ancestral quests.

Actually, when I go to week-long conferences on family history, I’ll admit that by midweek, I’ve heard so many people begin a conversation with “It’s very interesting about my ancestor … ” that I’m ready tell them, “Perhaps interesting to you, but not to me.”

It’s a good thing not to take yourself so deadly serious, and the folks at Cafepress.com’s Genealogy Gift Store have obviously made that their motto.
