Irish roots take hold on Emerald Isle

Irish roots take hold on Emerald Isle, an article by Chris Clay in The Mississauga News (Canada), details how an interest in genealogy led a couple of brothers into making a documentary about their family history.

Excerpt from the article:

What started out as a family vacation to Ireland for Meadowvale brothers, and filmmakers, Matt and Jeff Campagna, quickly evolved into a documentary on the history of their roots.

In the fall of 2004, the brothers visited the Emerald Isle, as much to see the land of their forefathers (on their mother’s side) as to delve into their genealogy; the result was a 62-minute “docudrama” called Roots Of A Man that traces the O’Doherty (or Doherty) clan back several centuries.
