2,000th Volunteer Hour at a Library

In a short article published in the Quad-City Times (Davenport, Iowa), there is mention of Bernard Bailey, a volunteer at the Davenport Public Library, recently celebrated his 2,000th volunteer hour.

Much of those 2,000 hours was spent indexing by hand, the various marriages and funerals in 1950s newspapers, for entry in a genealogy database that will soon be available for genealogists to use, both off and online.
