While the fate of New Orleans’ records (2theadvocate.com) as well as records in other areas of Louisiana and Mississippi are still up in the air, there are genealogists that are looking at helping in a unique way – by coming together and assisting those who may have lost their genealogy records.
Many of the skills we pick up as genealogists, whether we are amateurs or professionals, in finding long-lost relatives from ages past can be used in a more contemporary manner.
