Palm Beach County Genealogical Society – Needs Space

There’s an article in the Palm Beach Post (FL) by Ron Hayes, about the Palm Beach County Genealogical Society and their quest for space – the city is planning for a new “City Center” complex that will hold the city hall and city library. Kindred Matters Blog Closing up Shop

Unfortunately, it looks like Kindred Matters, a daily genealogy news blog is closing down – the lady behind it doesn’t have the time for it right now (understandable, there are days where I can’t find the time to stay up on email, etc). New Site – Genealogy Blogs

After a few conversations with a friend of mine, I found myself taking over a small website that he started but didn’t have time for, Genealogy-blogs.org. The summary: it’s going to be a directory for genealogy blogs, media (newspaper/magazines/etc.) that have regular genealogy columnists, and for some genealogy news sites. I’m not limiting it to much, but I’m going to try and keep it focused. It’s not going to replace Cyndi’s List (I don’t think anybody could), or a site like RSSGenealogy.com. Instead it’s going to be a directory for genealogy sites that you might want to check out a on a regular basis, a few times a week.
